Motivational Story A Son Like No Other
A Son Like No Other
In a small village there lived a man named Rehmat Ali with his wife and only son Hasan.
Rehmat Ali used to work as a laborer but old age and illness had weakened his body. Now most of the household expenses were being managed by Hasan.
Hasan worked in a private company.
He would leave early in the morning and return late at night yet he never neglected the care of his parents.
His mother would often pray, “May Allah give every parent a son like Hasan
As time passed Hasan got married.
At first everything was fine but gradually his wife Sana began to feel that living with in-laws was a burden.
One day she said to Hasan, Let’s move into a separate house. I can no longer serve old people every day.
Hasan remained silent for a moment and then gently replied, “Sana, these are the same parents who raised me while sacrificing their own comfort who fed me even when they stayed hungry. If I leave them today then tomorrow our own children may do the same to us.”
Sana became upset, but Hasan never raised his voice.
He continued to care for his parents first and also fulfilled all the needs of his wife.
One night Rehmat Ali’s health suddenly worsened. Hasan immediately carried him on his shoulders and rushed him to the hospital.
He stayed awake the entire night beside his father’s bed, tears in his eyes.
In the morning, Rehmat Ali weakly said, Son… we have become a burden on you.PP
Hasan quickly held his father’s feet and cried, “Father! Children can never repay their parents.
You are not a burden you are the blessing of my life.
Hearing this, Sana remained silent. For the first time, she saw true love and respect in Hasan’s eyes and realized her mistake.
When they returned home, she held her mother-in-law’s hands and said.
Please forgive me. Today I understood that serving parents is the greatest act of kindness.”
From that day onward, she also joined Hasan in taking care of his parents. Peace and love returned to the home again.
Lesson:
A son who continues to respect and serve his parents even after marriage is truly a noble and successful human being.
