The Honest Swan | A Lesson About Truth & Lies 

In the middle of a dense forest, there was a beautiful lake where countless birds lived. In the morning, when sunlight fell on the water, the lake sparkled like gold.

In that lake lived two swans. One was named Safiir, and the other was Sahil.

Safiir was wise and honest. He always helped others and never told a lie. On the other hand, Sahil was very mischievous. He enjoyed scaring others.

He often spread false stories and then laughed while watching everyone panic.

One morning, all the birds were eating grains by the lakeside when suddenly Sahil shouted loudly:

Run! A hunter is coming with a net!

Hearing this, the whole forest was shaken.

Birds flew in panic, parrots hid in trees, peacocks ran into bushes, and ducks jumped into the water. 🐦🌿

For a long time, everyone stayed hidden in fear. But later, they realized there was no hunter at all.

Sahil laughed loudly:

Look how scared everyone was!

Safiir said angrily:

Sahil, one day your lies will bring real trouble for everyone…”

But Sahil ignored him.

Days passed.

One evening, dark clouds covered the sky and silence spread around the lake. 🌧️

Sahil was swimming when he suddenly saw a man hiding behind trees. The man was carrying a net and slowly moving toward the lake. 😰

This time—it was a real hunter.

Sahil panicked and shouted:

Help! A hunter is here! Everyone fly away!

But no one believed him.

A bird said: “He must be joking again…”

A peacock said: “We’ve heard enough of his lies…”

Then suddenly, the hunter threw his net. Many birds got trapped. The forest filled with chaos. 😢

Safiir quickly flew up and warned everyone loudly. Only then did many birds manage to escape.

Sahil sat quietly on the edge of the lake, crying.

He whispered:

My one lie… has become everyone’s disaster…” 💔

Safiir placed a wing on his shoulder and said:

A liar doesn’t just lose others’ trust… one day, he loses the value of his own truth as well.”

From that day on, Sahil never told a lie again.
