A beautiful and instructive incident of Hazrat Ali 

Once Hazrat Ali was going from his house to the mosque. An old man was sitting on the road who was weak and helpless. He was asking people questions but no one was paying attention to him.

Hazrat Ali stopped. He approached and saw his condition and asked: "Who are you and what do you want?"

The old man said: "I am a forced man, unable to work, need help."

Hazrat Ali immediately went to his house and took some grain, clothes and some money and returned with it himself. The Companions said: "O Ali! You could have given these goods to someone, why did you carry them yourself?"

Hazrat Ali said: "If Allah has given me strength, it is my duty to bear the burden of the weak."

Then they gave the goods themselves to the old man and prayed for him.

The old man wept and said: "Today I have seen justice with my own eyes."

Lesson:

The real greatness is not in strength, but in being the support of the weak.

 

حضرت علیؓ کا ایک خوبصورت اور سبق آموز واقعہ 

ایک مرتبہ حضرت علیؓ اپنے گھر سے مسجد کی طرف جا رہے تھے۔ راستے میں ایک بوڑھا شخص بیٹھا تھا جو کمزور اور لاچار تھا۔ وہ لوگوں سے سوال کر رہا تھا مگر کوئی اس کی طرف توجہ نہیں دے رہا تھا۔

حضرت علیؓ رک گئے۔ قریب جا کر اس کی حالت دیکھی اور پوچھا: "تم کون ہو اور کیا چاہتے ہو؟"

بوڑھے نے کہا: "میں ایک مجبور انسان ہوں، کام کرنے کے قابل نہیں رہا، مدد کی ضرورت ہے۔"

حضرت علیؓ نے فوراً اپنے گھر جا کر کچھ اناج، کپڑے اور تھوڑے پیسے لیے اور خود اٹھا کر واپس آئے۔ صحابہؓ نے عرض کیا: "یا علیؓ! آپ یہ سامان کسی کو دے سکتے تھے، خود کیوں اٹھایا؟"

حضرت علیؓ نے فرمایا: "اگر اللہ نے مجھے طاقت دی ہے تو کمزور کا بوجھ اٹھانا میرا فرض ہے۔"

پھر انہوں نے وہ سامان خود اس بوڑھے کو دیا اور اس کے لیے دعا کی۔

بوڑھا شخص رو پڑا اور کہنے لگا: "آج میں نے انصاف کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ لیا ہے۔"

سبق:

اصل عظمت طاقت میں نہیں بلکہ 

کمزوروں کا سہارا بننے میں ہے
