Is the Ehsaas Ration Program limited to Punjab only?

The Benazir Ehsaas Ration Program 2023- has been officially launched under the flagship of the Benazir Income Support Programme/which aims to provide financial support due to the current inflation across the country. 

 This initiative has been taken by the current federal government of Pakistan.

who can be eligible for Benazir Ehsaas Ration Program 2023?

Households (i.e. people) with income below Rs 50,000 per month can enroll themselves (enroll themselves) under the Ehsaas Ke Ration Program 2023.  Only one member of the applicant's family whose cell number (i.e. mobile number) is issued on his personal (own) computerized national identity card can register his family through 8171 SMS service or web portal.

 Note To: Your mobile phone SIM must be registered (i.e. calculated) with your computerized National Identity Card number.

To enroll through . a family member can SMS their ID card number to 8171.  The federal cabinet has also allowed the feature that deserving (i.e. eligible) families of foreign travelers / government employees with a salary of less than Rs 50,000 can also benefit from Ehsaas Ration.

Every eligible household will be given subsidy (i.e. discount) of Rs.1000 per month on purchase of flour, cooking oil or ghee and pulses.

A discount of Rs 22 per kg on flour, Rs 55 per kg on pulses and Rs 105 per kg on cooking oil or ghee will be given at approved outlets of Kariana Stores.

 Answer: Once your registration process is complete and you receive a message from 8171 about your eligibility, you can follow these steps to get groceries/rations at discounted rates.

 1. Visit any grocery store registered under the program with your original ID card and Android mobile phone.

 2. Present your ID card to the shopkeeper.

 3. The merchant will verify your number through their Ehsaas Rashan program mobile application.

 4. Once you get your desired groceries, the shopper will enter the quantity and prices of each item in their mobile application and get discounted prices through the Ehsaas program.

 5.After verification, you will receive a message with 8171 to 6 digit code.  Show the code to the shopkeeper so he can enter it into the system.

 6.After entering your code into the system, you get your discount bill
